THE DETAILS

The types of flowers provided in DIY buckets and a la carte arrangements may not be customized, and are designer’s choice. However, because each bloom is grown and harvested on site, the flowers we provide will be unique, beautiful, and unbeatably fresh. Your buckets and bouquets will be a unique reflection of what’s growing in the garden that specific week, different from the one before or after.

We accept a maximum of one alteration to your chosen palette, meaning one color addition or omission. Please make a note of that change for us at checkout if you wish.

If you are interested in a more customized palette, please reach out! We are opening up full-service orders for the 2027 season.

The sooner the better! We cannot reserve your date until the deposit has been paid, so we suggest making your order as soon as possible to lock down the date. If you know you would like to reserve your date with us, but aren’t yet sure about the specifics of your order, you can find the wedding deposit as an item in our shop. You have until 3 weeks before your wedding to make any final changes to your order.

After you choose ‘pay later’ at checkout, we will send you a payable link for the deposit of $350. This deposit is due immediately in order to save your selected date, and will go toward your final balance. The final balance is due at least 21 days (3 weeks) before your event. You will receive an emailed invoice for that remaining balance. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

Below are our delivery and pickup options. These may be added to your cart when creating your order:

  1. Pickup at our homestead in Longmont. This option is always free, and we are happy to work with your schedule as much as possible. Delivery is also free within Longmont.
  2. Delivery to you, but no setup at your event. This means that we drive all of your a la carte and DIY items to your venue, but do not arrange anything at your venue. Delivery within Longmont is free. Delivery fees are $75 for Lyons, Louisville, Lafayette, Boulder, Firestone, Niwot, Hygiene and Broomfield. Delivery fees are $125 for Estes Park, Golden, Larkspur, Bennett, Idaho Springs, and the Denver area. If you do not see your particular city listed here, feel free to reach out before placing an order!
  3. Delivery to you, with full setup of your event. We will place all of your bud vases, hang your arbor spray, set up the ceremony gardens and more. You can find this option as an item in the shop as well.

We do not offer strike/teardown services for the 2026 and 2027 seasons for DIY and a la carte orders. Farmers go to bed early!

Once you make your order, we will be in contact with further information regarding delivery/pickup times and other specifics.

Each flower bucket contains 8 bunches of flowers. Each bunch has 6 stems of the same flower variety. This equates to 48 stems per bucket. The bucket will be a mix of focal flowers, sprays, and colorful fillers in your chosen palette.

Each foliage bucket contains 4 bunches of foliage. Each bunch has 12 stems of the same foliage variety. This equates to 48 stems per bucket. The bucket will be a mix of majority greenery and some textures (like grasses, seed pods, and dried stems) to complement your chosen palette.

If you’d like to learn more about what we grow, and what may be blooming the week of your event, you can check out our What We Grow page!

The quantity needed for your event will vary greatly based on your designs!

The best way to determine your needs is to take a close look at your inspiration photos, and get a good count on how many stems each vase and bouquet contains. Add those numbers together, and round up to account for error. Even for seasoned pros, flowers sometimes pop off the stem or get bruised or fall into the abyss during design work, so we highly recommend rounding up and purchasing slightly more than you think you’ll need.

In general, we recommend purchasing 1 bucket of foliage per every 3 buckets of flowers for bouquets, and 1.5 buckets of foliage per every 3 buckets of flowers for structural items such as arbor sprays and ceremony gardens. This will help maintain balance in your designs.

Here are guides for some of the more common items, based on our design sizes and shapes.  These are recommendations for the flower buckets. Remember our advice above on how many foliage buckets per flower bucket to buy:

Bridal bouquet, classic size- .75 bucket
Bridal bouquet, signature size- 1 bucket
Bridesmaid bouquet- .5 bucket
Table centerpiece- .5 bucket
Ceremony garden, classic size- 1 bucket
Ceremony garden, signature size- 1.25 buckets
Arbor spray- 1.25 buckets
We recommend 3-5 flowers per bud vase

If you still need some help calculating, please send us an email containing example photos of the sizes and shapes of your designs, along with all of your stats (how many tables, bridesmaids, etc) and we would be happy to help do some flower math.

Some items require a more patient and experienced hand than others. These are our recommendations of what to leave to us to design, as they’re a bit trickier and more stressful than you’d expect without professional practice:

-Your bridal bouquet. This is arguably the most photographed floral piece, and will require more flowers/time/hand dexterity than one would expect, especially with the more trendy structural pieces. Leaving this part to a designer also gives you a good blueprint for DIYing other pieces, such as your bridesmaid bouquets!

-The arbor spray and other similar structural pieces. It requires specific floral equipment which, while available at craft stores if you choose to make it yourself, requires familiarity or a lot of time on Youtube to be sure you are utilizing correctly. The structure and shape, and knowing how that will translate while hung, are best left to the designer. Additionally, because the stems are put in foam, it’s helpful to have us make it closer to the time of your event, rather than a few days before, when things have a bigger risk of drying out.

-Mini personals, especially pocket squares, flower crowns, corsages and combs. Unless you are endlessly patient, have experience with dried flowers or fresh flowers that will not wilt out of water, and a good knowledge of the glues and wires to use, we try to price these reasonably enough that you don’t need to DIY them, and can save yourself the frustration!

If you are a beginner designer, and are looking for a fun cost-saving activity for your loved ones to help out with, table decor such as bud vases, bridesmaid bouquets, and small centerpieces are a great place to start! Our DIY buckets each contain the balance of focals, fillers, and columns to create cohesive designs in your palette.

This is by no means to say that your designs won’t be gorgeous, or that it isn’t possible to do it all yourself! This is just our guide after a lot of experience and time.

It’s your choice! As you are making your order, you may select the option to pay $7 per  Loveletter Blooms bucket (no need to return them!), or you may supply your own at the time of pick-up or delivery.

If you elect to bring your own buckets, please be sure they have been cleaned inside and out with warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, and are at least 1/3 full of fresh, cool water. This all helps ensure your stems will last as long as possible.

If you are purchasing bouquets, be sure to provide one wide, squat vase for each.

All of this information will be re-iterated in email before your delivery or pickup date, with details specific to your order.

All bouquets are wrapped with a simple white ribbon held with a pin. If you would like to replace it with a ribbon more specific to your style or palette, it’s a simple 30 second swap.

Store your flowers in a cool, dark place as much as possible, and change out the water often. When traveling and/or working with flowers, try to keep them out of sunlight and in a cold air-conditioned space. All of your flowers will be harvested no more than a few days before your event, and will be conditioned and held in a flower cooler up until the last possible moment. We do not recommend storing your flowers in the fridge.

We will provide more details specific to your order in an email 3 weeks before your delivery or pickup date.

Yes. Everything you may need for your wedding is available in our shop and may be purchased simultaneously. If you’d like Loveletter Blooms to design your bridal bouquet while you create the rest, for example, that is totally doable. and a very popular option! As long as all of your selections are in the same palette, the sky is the limit.

If any alterations to your selections are needed, we are able to assist up to 3 weeks before your date. If you need to cancel your order within 3 weeks of your event date, you will receive a refund, less the $300 non-refundable deposit. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

See the FAQ about deliveries above for more information on our setup/teardown options.

If you are interested in a more full-service experience, including custom palettes, set up and tear-down, and private consultations, please reach out! We are are opening up full-service orders for the 2027 season, with a $3500 order minimum.

If something were to happen to the flowers intended for your date on the field (knock on wood) such as a hail storm or infestation, we do have some failsafes in place. We will prioritize maintaining your vision and the integrity of the palette, and do our best to source organically and locally. Basically, if something were to happen, that is on me as the farmer, and hopefully you will never know the difference.

Of course, we would love to! DIY buckets are such a fun way to add a creative activity to your event. Bachelorette parties, baby showers, clubs… Buildling bouquets could be a great and unique way to engage a group of people, and send them home with their own party favors at the end!

If you would like custom arrangements or a one-time bouquet, please reach out with your request, and we will work with you on a custom order.

Once you’ve double checked your date on the calendar, read about how it works, and chosen your favorite palette, it’s time for the exciting part! Thanks for supporting local, it means more than you can know!
