Here’s what you should know about this palette!
the basics
Though the cozy palette really lends itself to late summer and fall weddings, it’s a personal favorite all year round.
At its untouched core, the palette includes browns, muted and rusty oranges, deep ambers, coppers, and deep almost-brown reds, and minimal pops of mustard and tan.
This palette also utilizes many dried flowers and seed pods, such as scabiosa, statice, strawflower, echinacea, and dried grasses for that warming, cozy autumnal texture.
Commonly seen blooms for this palette, in addition to those listed above, include copper amaranth, Cornell Bronze dahlias, tan zinnias, mums, and rudbeckia. Dark toned greens and burgundy hibiscus are commonly used foliage. If you love sunflowers, we can include those too!
The spirit
For Loveletter Blooms, this palette is all about showing off the deeper tones and shapes that the late season brings.
In the designs, we try to echo the wildness of the late season fields– everything is at its tallest and wildest, bending toward the sun, pushing to create seeds before winter hits, and lending their branches to visiting birds.
variations
While the basic palette does not include white or ivory, it could certainly be added. Lavender would be a surprising and gorgeous contrast. You could eliminate the mustards altogether for an even darker, cozier tone.
